Strategy
Our investment strategy and criteria are very straightforward.
PNC Equity Partners is a middle market buyout and growth equity fund that focuses on transactions of $20-$125 million. We are a lead investor and generally invest between $10 million and $30 million per transaction, and syndicate larger amounts.
We invest in proven business models and proven management teams in niche manufacturing companies, outsourced services organizations, and value-added distribution businesses. We prefer companies with significant market share who are operating in industries with attractive growth opportunities.
We maintain a flexible approach to structuring our investments, with an eye toward future financing needs. We are comfortable holding either a minority or a majority ownership position in the company, leave the day to day operating responsibility with company management, but maintain a highly-active partnership with the management team during and after the transaction. We also work closely with the management, as members of the company's board of directors, on issues of strategy, raising capital, and liquidity.
